AIESEC is an international youth-run, non-governmental and not-for-profit organization that provides young people with leadership development and global volunteer exchange experiences.

Alliance MBS International Programmes Society

The AMBS International Programmes Society is made up of international programmes and incoming exchange students and aims to create an inclusive environment for students during their time at AMBS. Through fun social events, a buddy scheme and trips around the United Kingdom we aim to support students in their global journey and help them create long lasting connections.

Note: The AMBS International Programmes Society is separate from the central University International Society.

Accounting Society Manchester

Accounting Society Manchester strives to enhance our members’ employability and equip them with knowledge of companies of different sizes. We serves as a platform to connect our members with employers. Our members are provided with invaluable industry insights and saw development in soft skills. This year, we have successfully organised several large-scale events. A welcome dinner is held every year for students to network. Various office tours are held, allowing students to find out the career opportunities such as graduate schemes and internship programs. ASM partnered with Bright Future Manchester and ICAEW again to organise an annual big-scale business challenge in the North Region of the UK.

Alliance MBS ITMB Society

The ITMB society is an undergraduate student led group dedicated to cultivating and promoting the interests of students studying Information Technology Management for Business at the University of Manchester. The central purpose of the society is to connect, develop and encourage collegiality amongst its members to foster a strong sense of community. In order to do this, the ITMB society is committed to providing inclusive social events, industry led skill development and networking workshops as a means of building fellowship and fostering ties between students and industry.

Business Accounting Society

The Business Accounting Society established by BSc Business Accounting students aims to act as a network for all years to form connections, with the society promoting networking with older and younger years, attending socials put on by the committee and acting as a guide when needing support during the busy year! We hope this society allows all students to feel part of a bigger community in Manchester and encourage all students to join.

Enactus

Enactus Manchester is a vibrant and innovative society dedicated to empowering students through entrepreneurial action. With a passionate and diverse membership, Enactus Manchester creates positive social change by implementing sustainable projects that address pressing societal challenges. Through collaboration with local businesses and community partners, members develop practical solutions to issues such as poverty alleviation, environmental sustainability, and economic empowerment. By combining business acumen, social entrepreneurship, and leadership skills, Enactus Manchester cultivates a culture of impact driven entrepreneurship, fostering the next generation of socially responsible leaders. Together, we strive to make a lasting difference in the lives of individuals and communities, inspiring a better world.

IBFE Society

Our society started from being an academic society for our degree course, International Business, Economics & Finance, but we are now open to anyone and everyone. We love to create events for students to socialise and interact with each other whilst having fun. From eating, ice-skating to creating useful workshops for your future career paths - we want to create a community of support for everyone! Join us if you’d like to build your employability whilst making fun and lasting memories at The University of Manchester.

Manchester Business Society

The Manchester Business Society is the premier and fastest growing business society in Manchester. At our core, we aim to positively elevate Manchester. We will achieve this by inspiring, creating opportunities, and connecting passionate students across our four divisions (finance, economics, consulting, and entrepreneurship); giving them the foundations to succeed in an increasingly competitive world. We continue to equip students with the necessary skills and professional connections, by offering a range of memorable events, networking opportunities, technical workshops, and conferences.

MANSOC (Management Society)

The new UoM Management Society aims to bring all students together who study or have an interest in the academic or commercial field of management, including all who study a Management programme at AMBS. We’re a society run by AMBS students and plan to host social events as well as events to help with your career including CV workshops and guest speakers.

AMBS Football Society

The AMBS 11-aside football team play every Wednesday afternoon, as well as some Saturday fixtures, in the Campus Sport Manchester Leagues and Cup, playing against other Schools/ Societies across The University of Manchester. Currently playing in Division 2, we have a great current squad of players and are striving for promotion this season. Joining the team is an excellent opportunity to meet new people and is a great way to take a break from studies.

AMBS Netball Society

Alliance MBS Netball team is a great way to keep fit and meet people on your course! It is open to all AMBS students. We train together once a week and have matches throughout the year, with various fun and social activities too! As well as this, there is an opportunity to participate in a tournament at the end of the year.

If you are interested in joining any of the above, please visit the Student Support Hub, which is located in AMBS 2.091. We are available to assist you both in-person and online from Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm (except bank holidays and University closure days).
